Are you accepting new patients?

We are accepting new patients! We see patients of all ages, including pediatric patients. We have next-week appointments available with limited same-week or same-day slots. Back-to-school exam spots fill up fast, so don’t wait to schedule.

What’s involved in an eye exam?

DRBA9497_web.jpg

Our comprehensive eye exam checks for refractive error (that is, a glasses prescription) as well as eye disease such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. We offer advanced screening techniques and educate patients about their eye health.

If you prefer not to have your eyes dilated with drops, we offer most patients* an optional alternative with Optomap retinal imaging. (*Patients with certain conditions, including diabetes, must have a dilated exam. We can explain if this applies to you.)

If you wear or are interested in contact lenses, let us know when you schedule your exam so we can include a contact lens fit as part of your routine exam.

Allow about 90 minutes for a comprehensive exam, including optical time to select glasses.

Where are you located?

We recently moved to a newly-renovated office space at 1 Stewart Plaza, between the Dunbar Library and Keller Funeral home. Our new office has four state-of-the-art exam rooms with two testing rooms and a beautiful new optical space. We have plenty of room to spread out for social distancing. Free parking is available in front of our building with additional spaces along the alley to the left.

Do you accept my insurance?

We are in-network providers for EyeMed and VSP vision care plans. Learn more about insurance plans we accept. Out-of-network and private-pay patients can take advantage of our 25% discount on professional fees for payment in full on the date of service, and we can help with reimbursement forms.

If you plan to use a vision benefit plan, please have the plan details ready when you call to book. Here’s the information we’ll need to schedule your appointment:

  1. Name & date of birth

  2. Home address, phone number, and e-mail address

  3. Primary care physician and/or referring physician

  4. Medical insurance carrier and ID

  5. Vision benefit plan carrier and member ID (may be your SSN)

What is your cancellation policy?

We request 24 hours’ notice for cancelations so we can make that appointment slot available to other patients. If you have an unpredictable or inflexible work schedule, you can always call us to see if we have cancelations on the day you want to come in.
